Our lesson programs accommodate students of all levels from the experienced competitor to the recreational rider to the absolute beginner. Students will find numerous opportunities to improve their horsemanship skills, in riding, caring, handling, trail riding and horse shows, and have fun through competitions, clinics, and volunteerism. In other structured disciplines, such as the martial arts, testing or evaluation is an important way to track our personal achievements. We here at Collective Horsemanship believe it should be no different for practitioners of horsemanship who wish to determine their progression or own level of skill. Unlike students within other riding programs, our system offers periodic testing and grading by the lead instructor in order to advance to a higher level of recognized achievement, such as a different bandana/pin color or title. There is more to being considered an equestrian than winning show ribbons and show tittles. We encourage those interested in our program, either for their children or themselves, to check our VIP Intro Program. It begins with a free tour and consultation with our lead Instructor, and if Collective Horsemanship looks like a place you’d like to explore a little more, we will set you up with our Intro Package that includes 3 private lessons for only $75. Now that you have an idea of what we offer, the best way is to experience our unique lesson programs is by trying them. - Improves etiquette and encourages cooperation with others.

At Collective Horsemanship we see training as more of education for the horse, so that we can establish an understanding that leads to Trust, Respect and Leadership between horse and handler/rider. We evaluate, start, and restart all horses in a safe secure environment that will allow the horse to relax and learn the most it can during the time spent with us. We work with the premise that everything expected of a horse while mounted should first be accomplished on the ground. Our methods help a horse learn to move away from pressure, and to give from this pressure in a physically and emotionally collected and calm way. When this is achieved the horse becomes light and more fluid, which results in a sense of harmony between rider and horse. |
